EMIL!!! You have outdone yourself! My tired from working all day self tuned into this clip and the "Holiday" music...I was lifted up right into the Parade of happy folks on the Boardwalk..Great fun..who is singing? Tina
ReplyDeleteHi Tina,
ReplyDeleteIt was my first experiment with sound. Glad you enjoyed it.
The group is called Weezer.
Love the song and it seemed a nice fit for the old Edison film.
I plan on shooting my own videos and slide shows this summer of our beloved shore and will post with music
Cheers
Emil
Emil,
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous. LOved the music, too. My only comment is: "Shoebees unite!"
-Sue Halpern-Pohle. :)
Loved the sound Emil!! Right on beat with the parade you have out done your self!!!! Bravo!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove that song! Great job! :)

Good job! If I can figure out how to get it onto my computer, I have a movie of the construction and opening of Manasquan Inlet. It was shot in 1931 by Arch Johnson (owner of Johnson's Hardware in Pt. Beach, and he also narrates it. Prior to the opening of the inlet my Great Uncle Warren Mason was one of the first four charter boats to operate out of Brielle. My father worked on the boats, as did I, and there are some great stories that I need to get tape before my Dad croaks! I'll work on the film and get it up as soon as I can.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun. Love the song with the video.
ReplyDeleteI really like that song. At the first two or three notes of it, I had trepidation, then fell right into it! Love it, and since I have very early ties to A.C. (well, not THAT early lol), it kinda put a tear to my eye. A.C. was really great once on its own. All they needed was people back then.
ReplyDeleteThat was great, I Luv it!!!
ReplyDeleteImagine! That was their "entertainment" !! and they looked excited!! Our kids nowadays see BIG balloon characters, live bands, movie stars, and lazer shows...and you ask them " how was the parade"? and they say AHH it was alright.. Geezz
ReplyDeleteas Bob Hope would say Thanks for the memories!
Very nice job, Emil! I like that everyone walks in time to the music!
ReplyDeletei love the music and the fact that the film is so old..the 2 blend together so well...history repeating itself
ReplyDeleteThe music is good. Not just because it makes me think of the Laura Ingraham Show, but because it adds a certain contemporary flavor to the work of Edison (was just up to his facility a few weeks ago).
ReplyDeleteNice work, for sure. Anything from further north, like Point Pleasant???
